Řasy v modré (kyanotyp) // Seaweed in Blue (Cyanotype)

Na norském pobřeží mě fascinovaly, kromě jiného, tvary a barvy mořských řas. Maličký vzorek jsem přivezla domů a vystavila je na citlivém papíře slunci. Myslela jsem přitom na průkopnici cyanotypu Annu Atkins, která v 19. stolení podobně zachycovala řasy z pobřeží Anglie. Řasy na slunci rychle vyschly, ale stačilo ponořit je znovu do slané vody, aby zase rychle nabyly původního tvaru a síly. Udivuje mě, že i pět týdnů po návratu vypadají stejně živě jako na pobřeží.//

At the Norwegian seashore I was mesmerized by the algae, all their different forms and colours. I´ve brought home a tiny sample and exposed the seaweeds to sunlight on UV sensitive paper. Under the sunlight the weeds dried out quickly, however they gained their original shape and strenght when put again into salt water. I am amazed that five weeks after arrival, they still look the same like when I found them on the shore.
